Recording at Radio France Studio 104Posted on July 26, 2019
Justina’s new composition Encierro was recently recorded by the saxhorn quartet Opus 333 at the studio 104, Radio France. Justina also gave an interview which, together with her music will be used in the radio show Création Mondiale (Alla Breve) from 26th of August to the 1st of September.
About the project:
“Once Toro was created, I wanted to write Encierro as it’s continuation.
Encierro is a Spanish term literally meaning “confinement” and designating either the confinement of bulls to the corrales, or a lot of bulls destined for bullfighting, or the bulls’ run from the corrales to the bullring.
I had an amazing opportunity to work with the quartet Opus 333, meeting them monthly to listen and to create new sounds and I felt inspired by both their individual talents and powerful and creative musicality as a quartet. Not only it was a very productive time but it also deepened our friendship.
I am sending big thanks to Opus 333: Vianney, Corentin, Patrick and Jean, to whom Encierro is dedicated, and of course Anne Montaron and the whole Radio France team.”
