Founded in 2012, Ensemble for New Music Tallinn is a collective with a non-permanent membership. The ensemble strives to offer its audiences the very best of contemporary music, provide contemporary composers an opportunity to be heard, and enrich the local and international cultural scene with their meticulously chosen programs and approach. The artistic director of the ensemble is composer and conductor Arash Yazdani.
HETK Trio – Triplex DNA at Estonian National Opera Chamber Hall

Triple-stranded DNA (also known as H-DNA or Triplex-DNA) is a rare form and almost does not exist in nature. Intramolecular triplex DNA is formed from a duplex homopurine and homopyrimidine strands on adding a complementary single strand.

Jonathan Harvey (1939–2012) – The Riot for flute, bass clarinet and piano (1993)
HETK Trio (hetk – moment, instant in Estonian) is inspired by and pays tribute to the world-famous Het Trio (Harrie Starreveld – flute, Harry Sparnaay – bass clarinet, René Eckhardt – piano) that was active in 1982–2006, performed all over the world and premièred over 180 new pieces. Fie Schouten (bass clarinet) and Tarmo Johannes (flute) studied respectively with Harry Sparnaay and Harrie Starreveld. HETK Trio tries partly to pass on the best pieces of their vast heritage but it is also interested in finding and commissioning new pieces to extend the repertoire of the peculiar trio.
