Stalactite (2016) Lithuanian premiere

After its premieres in France and the UK, Stalactite (2016) for solo piano will be performed for the first time in Lithuania by Martyna Kučinskaitė. The concerts will take place on October 18 at the Ąžuolynas Library and on October 25 at the Birštonas Kurhauz. The concert, entitled “Piano Works by 21st-Century Lithuanian Women Composers,” features music by Žibuoklė Martinaitytė, Zita Bružaitė, Loreta Narvilaitė, and Justina Repečkaitė. Martyna is also recording these compositions, which will be made freely available on major online platforms.

In 2024 Stalactite (2016) was already performed by Iveta Calite at Cordes-sur-Ciel festival and by Lauryna Sablevičiūtė at the Tung Auditorium, Liverpool, UK.
