Premiere of “Brocade” (2023) by Duo Simile
Justina wrote the composition Brocade (2023) for violin & viola commissioned by the Duo Simile with the support of Lithuanian Council for Culture. Duo Simile, - Milda Kraujutaitytė and Silvija Čiuladytė will first perform Brocade in different Lithuanian cities.

Astrus Duo : Manuel Teles (saxophone) and Paulo Amendoeira (percussion), was formed in 2017 in Lisbon. They are winners of the Young Musicians Prize RTP / Antena 2.

Album release by Music Information Centre Lithuania in 2025
Music Information Centre Lithuania is set to release Justina Repečkaitė's debut album in fall 2025. The album showcases compositions spanning from 2012 to 2024, reflecting the composer’s artistic journey. The album will include recordings from the Baltic States, France, and Germany and will be available in both physical and digital formats.

Tapisserie (2015) at Wiener Konzerthaus
Ensemble XXI. jahrhundert conducted by Peter Burwik will play Tapisserie (2015) at Wiener Konzerthaus. This piece was already performed in Vienna by the ensemble Platypus in 2016.

Sinfonietta Rīga performs Chartres (2012)
Sinfonietta Rīga conducted by Normunds Shne will perform Repeckaite's Chartres (2012) during Baltic Music Days 2023. THE FIFTH CONCERT OF THE FESTIVAL - “SPARK” “Lithuanian composer Justine Repečkaitė's compositions have been praised as life cycles of sonic figures… Processes are quite plant-like, truly organic: withering, germinating, unfolding, wilting, bursting into bloom, blossoming.”

Artist-in-residence at Schloss Wiepersdorf
In spring 2023 Justina Repečkaitė is an artist-in-residence at Schloss Wiepersdorf, Germany. During her residency Justina works on her piece La Muë (text by Samuel-Auguste Tissot) for children’s choir & electronics, co-commissioned by the Baroque Music Center of Versailles and IRCAM for the Janus project, to be premiered both at IRCAM and at the Royal Chapel of the Palace of Versailles in 2024. Microtonality in works for solo piano: Three case studies in the Baltic keyboard repertoire
Recently, at Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, an American pianist Robert Fleitz defended his Master thesis “Microtonality in works for solo piano: Three case studies in the Baltic keyboard repertoire”. Fleitz discusses 3 compositions for piano written by Baltic composers: Santa Ratniece (1977) – In Love with Liberty (2016), Liisa Hirsch (1984) – Quantum Well (2020) and Justina Repečkaitė (1989)- Sturnus vulgaris cohibitus (2020).

Cries in a project 50/50
Justina Repeckaite’s composition Cries (2023) will be performed during the French tour of the project 50/50 by the Sequenza 9.3 vocal ensemble (cond. Catherine Simonpietri) and a harpist Sandrine Chatron (Trio Polycordes) alongside pieces by Carol Robinson (1956), Claude Barthelemy (1956) and Fabien Cali (1983).

Acupuncture (2014) in Ars Musica festival
Repeckaite’s piece Acupuncture (2014) was performed again by the Ensemble for New Music Tallinn conducted by Arash Yazdani at the music festival Ars Musica held in Belgium since 1989.

Baltic Music Days 2022
In 2022 Baltic Music Days festival was held in Kaunas, the European capital of culture this year. Ensemble for New Music Tallinn, conducted by Arash Yazdani, gave a concert at Kaunas Philharmonic, streamed on Lithuanian & Estonian national radios. Alongside pieces by Santa BUSS (LV), Märt-Matis LILL (EE), Sami KLEMOLA (FL) & Elis HALLIK (EE) they played Repeckaite’s Acupuncture (2014) for ensemble. This piece was already played by the Ensemble for New Music Tallinn in Baltic Music Days 2021 in Tallinn and later in the festival MusicOlomouc, Czech Republic and MARCO Museum of Contemporary Art, Vigo, Spain.

ISCM Unbenannt-2
For the ISCM, – International Society for Contemporary Music Centenary, 100th-anniversary concerts were held in Vilnius. On the 7th of October the string quartet Chordos played Justina’s piece Unbenannt-2 (2016) at Kasiulio Museum. The piece was already performed by Chordos quartet in 2020 during the festival Muzikos Ruduo, Vilnius.

Atelier contemporain and premiere
Justina Repeckaite is invited to present her music at Atelier contemporain of Suzanne Giraud at CRR of Paris on the 21st of November 14h30 – 17h30. The presentation, destined for composition class students, is also open to the public and will take place on the eve of the premiere of Justina’s composition Filage by ensemble Court-Circuit, conducted by Jean Deroyer.
Filage received a grant of Aide à l’écriture d’une œuvre musicale originale by the Ministry of Culture of France. Court-Circuit already premiered Justina’s music in 2015: Tapisserie was since played by 13 different ensembles all over the world.

New piece for Court-Circuit
Justina is currently writing a new piece, Filage, for Court-Circuit ensemble: flute, clarinet, piano, percussion, violin, cello, and double-bass. The commission is a grant from the French Ministry of Culture. Filage will premiere on the 22th of November 2022 at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris alongside music by Philippe Hurel and Adrien Trybucki.

Atropine in Zürich
Wie klingt Europa heute? is the name of the concert program in Zürich where Collegium Novum Zürich will perform Repeckaite’s composition Atropine (2022) for brass trio and electronics. Commission of Electrocution festival Atropine premiered earlier this year in Brest, France. Learn more about Atropine and check the streamed performance here.

Tapisserie in Munich
On the 21th of July der/gelbe.klang ensemble gives carte blanche to the composer and conductor Vykintas Baltakas, who included Justina’s piece Tapisserie (2015) in the concert. Baltakas already conducted Repeckaite’s music in Gaida festival, and then recorded an album Contemporary Music Series: Lithuania (2016) with LENsemble. der/gelbe/klang conducted by Armando Merino already played Pulsus Flatus Vox and the ensemble members Mathias Lachenmayr (percussion) & Marco Riccelli (piano) played Justina’s music during an open studio concert of her residency at Villa Waldberta.

La Cité des Dames in Stuttgart
Justina’s composition La Cité des Dames (2019) for 6 sopranos will be performed in a new version for 4 voices by Kollektiv Trigger at 19h on the 1st of May at Hospitalkirsche, Stuttgart.

Pulsating Skin (2021) in Basel
Pulsating Skin (2021) for 4 snare drums and electronics will be performed again during Mikolaj Rytowski‘s BA recital outside inside at 20h on the 13th of May at Hochschule für Musik in Basel, Switzerland.
The premiere of Pulsating Skin took place during Darmstadt Summer Course in 2021 where Mikolaj had a chance to hear it live.
